Quantya vs. Zero in Vegas - Quantya Wins 2 of 3!

In a showdown to remember in Las Vegas on Friday night (May 1), an exhibition match between five Zero X and five Quantya Track motocross motorcycles took place. The Zero X is the all-electric powerhouse from Zero Motorcycles in Oregon and the Quantya Track is the all-electric jump meister with Swiss timing.
Electric Vehicle Festival to Accompany 2009 California Truck Jam!
We’re excited to find out that the upcoming 2009 California Truck Jam and Car Show will feature a day-long Electric Vehicle Festival too! The event will take place on July 18th at Hollywood Park, California from 2pm to 10pm.

Electric Motorcycles on Display at FIM Show in Geneva

We just got this great tip from our friend Skadamo over at the Electric Motorcycle Forum - several electric motorcycles are currently on display at the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) show in Switzerland. This exhibition is being held from Thursday 19 February until tomorrow, Sunday 22 February at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Geneva.

Tazzari Gives Up More Details on Zero EV

A few days ago, we mentioned the new website that the Tazzari Zero now has. With that site, Tazzari has now issued new specs for the Zero, which will hit Europe and the Caribbean this year.

Ecotricity’s New Electric Car Needs a Name
Dale Vince, the CEO of Ecotricity, has announced that their electric sports car, which so far has not been given a name (just tagged the “Wind Car”), is ready to name his electric dream vehicle. Back in May of 2008, Dale announced his intention to “build an electric sports car to rival the Tesla.” Ecotricity, the company Vince runs, is a wind energy company in the UK and the announcement for the car was made on Vince’s blog, Zerocarbonista.
