The Phylla electric car is solar-powered and capable of going 80mph. The concept prototype was driven by some VIP guests at the Turin Environmental Park recently. It’s a “2+2” seater, which means it can seat two or four people, depending on how much luggage space you’d like.

That’s the best way to describe this EV, which is basically a solar-powered bus. It’s a glorified golf cart that can be purchased in configurations to seat up to fourteen. It’s all solar, however, and can drive about 49 miles at 25mph. All on solar power.

Did you know that UFOs run on solar power? Me neither, until I saw an article about the Canadian solar-electric car, dubbed the UFO, had broken the world record for distance. The previous record, for the, uhh, record, was set by an Australian team and was 13,055 kilometers. The Canadian UFO just finished a 15,000 kilometer run, which took 140 days.
