Mercedes F-CELL Coming to the U.S. in 2010

Mercedes-Benz has a new hydrogen fuel cell car, the B-Class F-Cell. The car has a top speed of 170km/h (106mph), a range of 385km (239 miles) and an output of 100kW/136hp and 290Nm torque. Wow!

Hydrogen Road Tour a Success: 1,700 Miles From California to Vancouver, B.C.

The road trip started in Chula Vista, California on Monday, May 27, 2009. The tour ended in Vancouver, British Columbia on Wednesday, June 3rd. The tour group stopped in 28 cities along the way and made hydrogen-fueled history with 12 vehicles making the trek.

At this year’s Shell Eco-Marathon Americas, the winning prototype won with an astounding 2,757.1 miles per gallon. Want to know something even more amazing? That’s not a world record for the event…
This year, 40 teams and 500 people competed to go the furthest distance on a set amount of fuel. The winner this year was the Alerion Supermileage team from Laval University (Quebec, Canada). They took home the $5,000 grand prize with the NTF 3.0. That was in the Combustion Engine category.
