Cheap for a Reason: Tata Nanos Bursting Into Flames

Not rhetorically either, the little Nanos are literally catching fire. Three Tata Nanos have caught fire, reportedly, because of a short circuit in a steering column switch. As a result, the world’s cheapest car is being recalled and current showroom models are being audited.

The EV Dashboard of the Future, According to Me

As you all may be aware, I spend a lot of time mulling over the newly-emerging technologies of the eco- and alt-fuel transportation industries. Sometimes to find out what’s coming or to try to predict what things will look like in a decade, two decades, or further out. Lately, those thoughts have focused on the one thing that all of us most often overlook, but that is essential to the comfort we have in any vehicle we drive.
Global Green Cars - Affordable American-Made Electric Vehicles

Meet the G-3, one of three models currently offered by Global Green Cars. This one is my favorite, though I’m not sure if the cargo is included in the sale price or not. You’re looking at the most American-made small pickup truck on the market. Bar none.

Want an i-MiEV? Sucks to Be You Then. They’re Sold Out

For some reason I can’t really figure out, a lot of electric vehicle industry buzz surrounds the Mitsubishi i-MiEV. The little battery electric gets a lot of attention. I haven’t figured out why either, because these cars are ugly, only kind of impressive in performance, and don’t exactly have much about them that says “safe.”
