Inspired by the self-balancing Unicycle created by Trevor Blackwell, this experimenter set out to build a one-wheeled skateboard. Utilizing the information abundantly available online regarding balancing robots, and some ingenuity, John Dingley worked to make his self-balancing board a reality.

We here at Zoomi Life are big fans of ecomodder and their informative, DIY-oriented eco-modifications to cars. They posted a hilarious article about one of their featured writers, Ben Nelson, getting pulled over for speeding in his converted electric Geo Metro.

Most of us can’t afford a Fisker Karma or a Tesla Roadster, so we’ll have to find another way to go electric with our vehicles. Some of the more intrepid of us will do it ourselves. Sites like DIYelectricCar.com are there for that. This is a great resource and I was amazed to look through and see what’s there. A friend sent me the link and said I should check it out. Thanks!
