Meet MAX - The 100mpg Home-Built Lotus Replica

Kinetic Vehicles had a vision. Their vision was MAX (Mother’s Automotive eXperiment) and that vision has become reality as a 100mpg biodiesel homebrew car. Although the project was sponsored by Mother Earth News, the sponsorship was mostly moral support as the builder’s wanted to show that this could be done by anyone.
The TransAtlas - a New, Interactive Map For Alt Fuel

This is a very cool and much-needed idea. The National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) and the Department of Energy (DoE) have partnered on a project they’re calling TransAtlas (Transportation Atlas). It’s a Google Maps-based map for finding information on alternative fuels nationally.

Rinspeed’s Advantige R One: the Car that Runs on a Mr. Fusion

If you can’t say anything else about this auto design company, you have to admit that Rinspeed is definitely cutting-edge and innovative. This time, Rinspeed has a one-seater sports car that quite literally runs on garbage. Yep, like the Back to the Future DeLorean with a Mr. Fusion on it, the Rinspeed can run off of fermented green waste.

The Track T-800CDI 100mpg Biodiesel Motorcycle

Check out this cool bike from Holland: the Track T-800CDI. It’s not electric or a hybrid, but it’s still awesome. It’s a diesel bike that gets a whopping 100mpg and is made by EVA Products. It does 0-100kph (0-62mph) in 3.75 seconds, an auto transmission (6 gears, preprogrammed), and gets 100mpg when ridden at 56mph average speed.
