FedEx Paris Fleet Gets Electric Vehicles

FedEx has been testing two human-electric hybrid 3-wheeled bicycles for small delivery route operations. During the 11-week trial, the little LEVs managed to deliver over 2,400 documents and parcels. They were used in the most densely trafficked part of Paris and proved their worth as an efficient way to getting around for the package carriers.

The Electric Arcimoto Gets a Test Drive

The Arcimoto is a 3-wheeled electric vehicle capable of 50mph, 30 miles’ range on a charge, and seats one. It’s an urban commuter that takes about 6 hours to charge to full. The team began work last year on the concept and have now built a fully-operational test mule.

The Myers Motors NmG: Visions of Electric Cars in Every Garage

Right on the front page of their site, Myers Motors says that their goal is “Sub-$20,000 vehicles that are practical and affordable…” Pretty bold statement when you see that most highway-ready electrics with any range worth driving are triple and quadruple that amount (or more). So far, they’ve managed to bring the price point of their little electric to $29,995. They’re getting close.

Venture Vehicles/Persu Mobility: The Persu Hybrid

Venture Vehicles has changed their name to Pursu Mobility and has designed a vehicle called the Persu Hybrid, based on the extremely innovative Vandenbrink Carver. This 3-wheeled vehicle is claimed to be a “new class of vehicle.” It’s got some awesome design features, that’s for sure, but it still looks like an enclosed tricycle to me.
