Of everything Honda will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show this month, this Skydeck concept is likely the most innovative in terms of design. This concept is literally made to showcase only one thing: Honda’s IMA technology, which will be the future of Honda’s EVs (hybrids, battery, and fuel cell).
The Skydeck itself is a 6-seater wagon-style MPV with a hybrid power train. Nearly all of its components, including batteries, are housed in a central tunnel that runs the length of the car. This gives it much more interior room, keeps all of the seats level with one another, and slings the center of gravity low for better handling and safety.

The concept is pretty cool and moving batteries from under or behind the seats definitely increases cabin space. That is the focus of this particular concept for now.
