The 365-Energy Group, tasked with setting up an electric vehicle infrastructure in the City of Amsterdam, has announced that the city has chosen ChargePoint from Coulomb Technologies for the task. The city plans to install 45 stations as part of an initial demonstration program and, if that’s successful, to expand that to 200-250 more by 2012.
Nuon, a local power provider, will supply the renewable electricity for the charging stations and 365-Energy will manage the stations and subscriptions. ChargePoint will provide the stations, installations, and so forth. This is Coulomb’s first European contract for ChargePoint.
So, soon, you’ll be able to park your EV in front of your favorite (ahem) coffee shop and plug it in for charging before you get your own recharge.
