Electric motorcycle maker Zero Motorcycles, which recently debuted the Zero S enduro-style superbike and raced their Zero X motocross electric in Vegas recently, is now planning to introduce a new street bike. The bike will have full flarings and be made for non-offroad applications as a street bike.
It will likely be based on the Zero S platform with added flarings and more road worthy shocks and springs. It’s tentatively being called the SS, says Neal Saiki, Zero’s company founder. Because of the broader general market appeal of a street bike, this could be a better seller for Zero.
So far, 600 units of the Zero S model are expected to be sold in 2009.
