NovaCharge, an authorized channel for ChargePoint Systems from Coulomb Technologies, has teamed up with Advanced Vehicle Research Center (AVRC). This partnership will facilitate the sales of ChargePoint Systems to electric utilities and educational and government agencies in the area.
AVRC does plug-in hybrid conversions and has done more than any other organization on the East Coast. They’ve also done ethanol optimization projects and are working with the North Carolina State University on EV and PHEV conversions.
In this partnership, they will convert government and utility vehicles while NovaCharge will provide the charging systems and facilities infrastructure for them.
AVRC has also teamed with CyberMetrix in Virginia to do diesel-hybrid conversions for military vehicles both on and off-road in design. This partnership will result in a new facility for testing and electronics for manned and unmanned military vehicles in Danville, Virginia. Construction on the new facility will complete in June.
These partnerships mean that not only will government vehicles that aren’t available as factory-made PHEV and EVs will be eligible for conversion through contract and the companies are already signed on with some government agencies for this work.
