Optibike makes high performance electric bikes and has announced their new women’s model, the Helia. These are nothing short of HOT, according to my wife. They come in a variety of colors (her favorite is pink) with great details and logo mark handpainted by an artist.
Optibike is in Boulder, Colorado and is a premium maker of customized, high performance electric bicycles. The Helia is capable of a 50 mile range, is on or off road as a mountain bike, has premium suspension (Fox) and hydraulic disc brakes.
The advanced li-ion battery packs are hugely powerful with a 3+ year lifespan. These bikes are built-to-order and can be ordered with a variety of options for cargo, sizing, and more.
“For women looking for a perfect fitting electric bike with long range - there was nothing available, so we developed the Helia,” says Jim Turner, CEO of Optibike.
Some specs:
45 mile all-electric range, 50+ pedal-assist
20mph top speed all-electric, 30mph pedal-assist
Batteries warrantied for 3 years
700W brushless motor
1 year warranty on whole bike
These are top-notch models, so their price isn’t cheap. The Helia retails for $8,995.00 and is available direct from Optibike.
I’m going to state this right up front, so there’s no confusion - it’s impossible for me to be objective about the Optibike, so if you’re looking for a balanced review, you’re probably not going to get that here. [...] Read More...
