This PPMV (Piemonte Personal Mobility Vehicle) is called the H-ergo. It’s a hydrogen fuel-cell wheelchair intended for indoor/outdoor use. It’s diminutive size makes it highly maneuverable and for such a small unit, it has some serious guts.
Two 800W motors move the chair and can make velocities up to 12 miles per hour. With a full charge of hydrogen in its little tank, it will run for 2 hours solid. While that doesn’t sound like much, the average person in a wheelchair doesn’t actually move too much more than that in a day.
A great little design with some interesting applications, but it’s not likely to replace the current battery-powered mobility chairs already available now. Unless you want to get pulled over for speeding in your electric wheelchair, that is.
