Not due for release in Europe until 2010, the BlueCar EV van by Pininfarina and Bollore has already received well over three thousand reservations for purchase. Pre-sales began in March and Europeans are showing a huge interest in this all-electric mini-van (or 5-door hatchback, if you insist).
Bollore is responsible for the battery end of this vehicle, if you’ll remember from our original write up on this great EV (note the name change), and has also announced two battery factories to open in June. One is located in France and the other in Canada.
Still no North American release date for this EV, but the factory in Canada might be taken as a good sign.
