One of the more interesting displays at the New York International Auto Show was the Ford display in the corner. By all accounts, it was one of the most interactive and interesting of the exhibits at the show this year.
Two extremely large displays on the walls highlighted Ford’s move towards fuel efficiency, towering over the diminutive Ford Fiesta and EcoBoost technology. A fun Fusion Hybrid driving game was there for visitors to play, using the SmartGauge demo to attempt to maximize fuel efficiency in the driving simulation.
The simulator will prompt the driver with eco-driving tips and to teach people to exploit the benefits of the hybrid system in the Ford Fusion.
Another highlight was the fully-accessible Ford Fiesta that booth visitors could climb through, sit behind the wheel, and mess with the little car’s interior, engine compartment, trunk, etc. This a full year before the Fusion will be available for purchase in the U.S.
