EVOASIS To Convert London Gas Stations into EV Charging Stations

Abandoned petrol (that’s how they say “gasoline” in Europe) stations in London are going to be converted to electric charging stations for EVs. EVOASIS, an American firm, plans to set up airport-style EV “filling” stations for both electric cars and people.
The idea is that you can pull in with your electric, plug it in, and go inside for coffee, a sandwich, etc. while your vehicle charges up. The first will be installed on Grovesnor Road, (former Pimlico), with up to 12 bays capable of recharging most common electric cars in 20 minutes.
The company plans to have five more stations in place by the end of the year. The sites are being leased on a profit-sharing basis with current owners gaining a share of profits for the use of the property.
Evoasis is also talking with store chains like supermarket chain Tesco to install charging points at their locations as well. They are also talking with the city of Westminster to expand that city’s already-existing EV infrastructure.
London, remember, is the home of the hugely popular G-Wiz electric commuter car and the future home of a fleet of electric taxis, PHEV buses, and more. Obviously, the London metro area plans to be the world’s leader in electric vehicles.
