Geneva Motor Show: Mitsubishi Global i MiEV Prototype Revealed

Mitsubishi I-MIEV

The prototype for the Mitsubishi Global i MiEV was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. Very much like the original i MiEV, this version is the “global” model, meant for the world market. It features a wider stance, longer “bumper” overhangs for protection, and the steering wheel is on the correct, American side of the car.

Mitsubishi is saying that this prototype is the precursor for the model that will be on sale in Europe early next year under both Mitsubishi’s and Peugeot’s names. No word yet on a North American release, but it’s likely coming fairly soon with these developments.
