Protoscar’s New Electric Sports Car, The LAMPO, To Be Unveiled at Geneva Motor Show

The Swiss design company Protoscar will reveal a new electric sports car called the LAMPO at the Geneva Motor Show. For now, they’re giving tidbits of information and only teaser photos to keep us interested.
The LAMPO concept will be an all-wheel drive vehicle that uses twin electric motors, giving a total of 268 horsepower and 325pf of torque (440Nm). The motors are powered by lithium-ion battery packs that store 32kWh of power, giving the car a range of about 120 miles.

Another interesting development is the programmable car charger, which will allow the operator to choose when and how much charge to take. So when parked in the garage at home, the car can be programmed to take a full charge at off-peak without having to wake up in the middle of the night to plug it in. Further, it can be told to take only so much power when plugged into a plug-in charge station.

In another cool development, the advanced navigation system (with GPS) will also tell the driver whether they can actually get to where they’re going on the charge they’ve currently got and will update if this changes en route. Charge points and other information can, of course, be had as well.
Some very cool concepts from this new prototype. Check out the development video:
