The three-wheeled monster scooter from Piaggio will debut in Italy and Spain this summer. We covered the scooter when it first debuted as a prototype a while back and are excited to see it hitting the streets.
The machine is a PHEV and can go 12 miles on batteries alone, but gets a whopping 141mpg overall, so the hybrid mode is not too shabby either.
Sweet! These are awesome in their design and it’ll be great to see them in real-world scenarios and testing by regular riders and users. There are some fairly advanced bike sharing and vehicle rental/swap programs going on throughout both Italy and Spain, so these may pop up in those applications as well.
