BikeBiz is featuring a new Infineum series of e-bikes that will come with Powacycle’s solar charger for recharging the bicycle’s batteries.
The Powacycle solar panels, in final stages of development, are simple foldout panels that attach to the luggage rack on the back of the bicycle. They can be plugged into the battery pack and opened when the bike is parked in sunlight. The unit is 3-panel polycrystalline set that offers a 15W, 0.4a of power.
The Powacycle panels will likely be available on the open market as an after-market add-on for other e-bikes as well.
Cool development!
