Drymer’s Innovative Three-Wheeled Electric Bicycles

Drymer is showing off their latest electric bicycle prototype, called the v0.5. It’s a 3-wheeled model with a car-style seating position. The innovation comes from several sources and make this look like it’ll be a fun one to ride.
The v0.5 has a 3-wheeled arrangement: 2 in front, 1 in the rear. This gives great stability and having two wheels in front, Drymer says, makes the bike ride more smoothly as well. The really cool thing? it still tilts like a bicycle, which gives that “jet plane” feel when cornering.

The bicycle is also covered, but open-sided, offering a modicum of protection from the elements. The cover is removable, so he “bare bones” of the bike can be ridden (making it much lighter). The pedals can be used without the electric motor to propel the bike, so lightening the weight is essential.
Speaking of electric motors, the one on this puppy pumps out 250 watts, which is equivalent to the amount of work that an in-shape athlete can generate. The amount of power actually being used is controlled by a user-controlled system so battery power and range can be maximized.

These are some awesome bikes and we’re hoping to see more info on them soon. Check out the photos on this bad boy and let us know what you think.
And while you’re at it, check out the videos. They’re both in Norwegian, but interesting nonetheless.
