Recently, the boys at EcoGeek got to test drive the Chevrolet’s Equinox, a fuel cell test vehicle the company has been quietly working with for several years. While Honda and now Toyota are making waves with their fuel cell designs and ideas, GM has been quiet about this one.
There are 100 of these on the road as lease vehicles to private owners who’re giving feedback on the driving and fueling experience. From the video, you’ll hear that Mercedes-Benz is working on one too.
Mercedes-Benz has a new hydrogen fuel cell car, the B-Class F-Cell. The car has a top speed of 170km/h (106mph), a range of 385km (239 miles) and an output of 100kW/136hp and 290Nm torque. Wow!
