FalconEV Announces New Electric Scooter - Needs your Help Naming It
FalconEV, a Florida-based electric vehicle company, has just unveiled a new electric scooter to be available for purchase in mid-2009. The as-yet-unnamed electric scooter - currently known as the ZE-6000 - not only looks unique, but has got some solid specs as well.
The look of the scooter itself reminds me a bit of the Honda Ruckus in its styling. Its wide seat and backrest should easily transport two people, and the scooter has a carry rack behind the seat so you can strap down your stuff. The scooter has a unique recumbent design as well as a padded seat backrest, which actually makes it comfortable to ride.
This sweet-looking unit has some pretty solid specs for an electric scooter:
- 2, 3000w front & rear hub motors
- 45 or 60 volt LiFePO4 Lithium battery pack
- regenerative braking
- 60+ mph top speed
- 40+ miles range
- Anticipated price of $7000
While the scooter has all the right specs, and could certainly prove to be solid competition for brands such as Vectrix, one thing it doesn’t have yet is a name - so why don’t you help out and help name it? Leave your proposed name for the scooter in our comments, and our friends at FalconEV will check back regularly for your suggestions.
And if you’re interested in purchasing one yourself, FalconEV is currently taking deposits for the first 40 units at a price of $6,600. Check this page out for more details.
