Soon after the NAIAS Detroit Auto Show finishes up at the end of the month, the Society of Automotive Engineers will convene their World Congress in Michigan. This year’s congress, presented by Honda, is titled “Racing to Green Mobility” and will focus on how the industry can better address climate change and green issues.
“‘Racing to Green Mobility’ is a challenge to the industry and to each of us as individual engineers to act and take responsibility for a goal we all share - ensuring the survival of our planet,” said Masaaki Kato, president of Honda R&D Co., Ltd. and the chairman of the 2009 World Congress.
This year’s Congress is expecting over 50 papers to be presented by scientists and engineers as well as unprecedented booths and presentations from auto makers and suppliers, continuing the momentum of the NAIAS show this year.
We at ZoomiLife will be tracking the upcoming show and giving you the latest information that comes out there, as it applies to green transportation. Since that’s the focus of this year’s World Congress, we hope that some great things will be in the offing.
