Dodge unveiled their new electric sports car at the LA Auto Show in November last year, but had another surprise for Detroit today. The newest version of the sport EV, which Chrysler based on a Lotus platform, has seen some changes: including getting a name.
The EV is now the Dodge Circuit. Chrysler’s ENVI (electric vehicles) division made some upgrades to the car, though they aren’t much in the way of technology changes. Mostly, they changed the grillwork, paint job, and other prettiness that removes its Lotus background in favor of Dodge ownership.
The car hasn’t seen many other changes and still sports the same battery pack and 200kW motor it did before. The plug has been moved to a more conventional gasoline-pump location, mainly for looks I suspect, and that’s about it.
